Nope. The license belongs to

Nope. The license belongs to the user, or more specifically, the Apple ID that is active on the device. The license cannot be reclaimed. This is similar to gifting an app to a friend. Hope this helps...

Apps are owned by the ID, and there is no "pull back". Plan ahead how you want everything to be owned and controlled.

No Apple Enterprise ID

Your rating: None

Until Apple finally decides to allow the creation of an Enterprise iTunes ID that could be deployed on every single device in a fleet, any downloaded content (even with a VPP token) is attached to the personnal iTunes ID used to download it.

No way to avoid this.

Would this work?

Have users create a separate itunes ID that would use their corporate email account and if they decide to leave the company, you can reset their iTunes account and access their corporate mailbox to retrieve to reassign the software? Or is there just no way around it.

Thanks! Smile

It would, up until the point the owner of the Apple ID realizes they can go here:

and change their email.

Managed distribution instead of redemption codes

Your rating: None

The redemption codes cannot be reused or reassigned since it is associated with a particular Apple ID. There is another method for app distribution called Managed Distribution in which you can assign apps to users or devices according to your convenience. When assigned to users, the apps will be available for the users in any devices. When assigned to devices the apps will be available in the device no matter whoever uses it. Unlike the redemption codes, the apps are not permanently associated with the user's Apple ID. The apps can be reused or reassigned. Also free and paid apps can be distributed through Managed Distribution. There is option for migrating the redemption code to Managed Distribution.
