Absolute® Manage Mobile Device Management (Absolute Manage MDM) provides remote management capabilities for Apple® iOS devices (iPhone®, iPad touch®, iPad™). Customers can remotely engage with their deployment within the administrator console and perform standard maintenance routines as well as take strategic and responsive measures based upon the requirements of each device.

Absolute Manage MDM is authentically cross platform and can be installed within a Mac or a Windows environment, so there’s no need to invest in additional infrastructure or hardware components.

Absolute Manage MDM is available as a component within Absolute Manage or as a stand-alone product.

Absolute Manage MDM does not require an agent to be installed on the device for basic management functions, such as device enrollment, device querying, deploying configuration profiles, or locking and wiping devices. However, there is an app provided called Absolute Apps that serves a number of particularly compelling functions:

  • Self-serve portal for recommended App Store apps
  • Distribution of ASVPP app redemption codes
  • Device geotracking
  • Deployment of in-house apps
  • Self-service, on-demand configuration profiles
  • Detection of jailbroken devices

Other unique features include the ability to build profiles with variable data inputs. For example, a standard Exchange profile for all users could include the symbolic “email address”, “username,” and other necessary fields. The actual data, customized per user, is inserted to the profile when it is deployed.
